On disagreeing with Madonna...

It's now December 5th.
That means it's the birthday of the King of Thailand. But that's not the topic of this post...

December 5th is also the birthday of Mr Szabolcs Mihalyi, my colleague for one year in Bern, my friend, the person who introduced me to eating pasta with sweet things, who taught me so much about Hungarian culture and Swiss culture, who helped me to understand the experience of being a 'foreigner' in Switzerland.

Those of you familiar with the concept of birthdays will know they tend to come around approximately every 12 months. So that means that it's already a year since i travelled back from Duesseldorf on a plane with Sabi, Bee and Zuzi, after spending 4 beautiful, exhausting and unforgettable days of planning, talking, eating and going to the theatre.

So time really does NOT go by so slowly...

If anything it is going by more quickly with each passing month. Is this a symptom of getting old...? (remember Caro, Fabo, Sabi - i'm in Thailand where i AM considered old for AIESEC!) Or is it a necessary side-effect of the lifestyle that we choose...?
