A gray day
I woke up to rain. 1st time that has happened here. Very symbollic...
I should say "eventually woke up ". Again i set my alarm for 7:45. Again i switched it off and just went back to sleep. Somehow my body & mind have not yet found their rhythm here. I go to bed every night at a different time, and the same thing waking up in the morning. And i'm always so tired, but the tiredness doesn't stop when i sleep.
This morning, after only 3 hrs work we broke for lunch, and it was a real effort to keep my eyes open long enough to eat and walk the 5minutes home afterwards. So i tried to sleep it off. And guess what - i'm still tired! So this post will be short, since i should go sleep.
The tiredness is accompanied by a constant feeling of frustration. Like i feel as though i am not achieving anything. Days are passing and i don't have anything to show for it. That's not how it was supposed to be. That's not how it was before. And as you can imagine this is not helped if one has to sleep for 3 hrs in the middle of the afternoon.
Hopefully tomorrow i will make my 7:45 target. Inspired by Cileia I want to get in shape again. Since i can't afford to join a gym i am going to start running again. Unfortunately the morning is the only time when the temperature will allow me to do this without ending up in hospital.
So who knows, maybe when i post tomorrow i will have done some exercise, achieved some useful stuff, and still feel relatively awake. Wow, that gives me something to strive for!
Good night
x
P.S. Stefan, welcome back from your trip. Thinkin of you lots at this time x

i very much feel you on this one. trouble sleeping too. wide awake at odd hours and tired at all others. if you found a way to battle it, make sure you share the recipe with me... big hug!
Hi my dear:)
20 days till we will meet in Poland (more or less:P)...Can't wait to see you again..we can even have a SG meeting with Cileia and Peter being there also:)
And maybe till then your sleeping problems will be solved..not like you'll have to much time to sleep during IC, but still...
Anyway, after these convincing posts from you and Cileia, probably I will also start to go to gym in Belgium, so we will have another subject that we can talk about:P:P:P
Pink kisses from (still) Bucharest!
Nico
the games are open! let's run! Just bought new shoes in order to make it happen, as the weather right now is not the right one for cycling here.
Rob, thanks for your comment as well :-D
Why would they take away your maestro-card? Morons :-)
Haha, yeah, fun teambuilding events always give you a great boost! Now we just have to make sure we follow up with results :-) Thanks for wishing me luck with my thesis, I need it! :-s Hope I can manage all these things well, as sometimes I don't seem to be able to kick myself in the ass hard enough. I think that next to mentors and coaches there should also be ass-kickers for the members who need one LOL
As for your current state: Don't worry, I think it's just your body giving you a sign that it needs more time to adapt to the new climate and surroundings. It'll be okay. But I know how you feel :-s
Physical exercise should help fight the fatigue (is it possible over there to go running in the evenings instead of in the morning? Everybody has their own rhythm. I personally prefer running around 20h instead of in the morning), and what about a good Thai-massage? :-)
Gros bisous
Carissa
