congratulations to your brother though.
I think that's more American, and it refers to the force in general.
'Bobby' is quite an old-fashioned, very British, completely innocent word for a Policeman. Of course we have other, not-so-nice ones...
akna "tschugger" in Bernese gangster slang, or just simply "les flicks" in Geneva, but both terms you better don't use in front of them. Congrats here as well. Trying to imagine Maxime in a UK police uniform to get the picture ;-)
