Let the competition begin...

Another night, another barbeque :o)

It's been quite week, featuring, among other things:

• last days of transition to the MC team 06-07, four incredible individuals with a passion to learn, to innovate and to perform. AIESEC in Switzerland is in capable hands!
• the return of my beloved from his travels in the US. Welcome back, darling :o)
• My last Advisory Council meeting as an MC Member in Switzerland (if i ever do another one i guess it will be on the other side of the table...) It was good to receive some critical feedback, as this will be extremely valuable for the new team as they go into planning
• fixing arrangements for next week's meeting of the MCPs of WENA (Western Europe & North America), taking place in Bern. 16 people confirmed so far and still awaiting responses from 3 more. It's gonna be a great weekend!

And last but definitely not least, the arrival at 18:00 CET today of the World Cup 2006!

It's gonna be an exciting tournament if the first 2 games are anything to go by! Who would have expected Costa Rica to score twice against Germany, or Ecuador to beat the once-mighty Poland? (Sabi certainly didn't, he had 5 Euro on Poland to win - oops!)

But the best part is knowing that for the next few weeks football is going to once again be an important part of my life.

Lord, have mercy on the foot of Rooney... And please don't let any Swiss referees mess it up for us this time...
